Fishing Trips

Our family business has arranged small-scale fishing trips (both day and night trips) already from 1983. Currently we own several 12-metre long fishing boats with sleeping cabins for 4 to 6 persons. All boats used for fishing trips are in good condition and have the required high seas equipment on board.   Fishing equipment is of the best European and American brand name quality. Own fishing equipment can naturally be used, as well. It is also possible to get acquainted with traditional Sri Lankan fishing methods – e.g. longline, bottom fishing or fishing with nets.

We provide a captain and two crew
members – all experienced Hikkaduwan fishermen – for all trips. The crew prepares also the food – sandwiches and seafood, guaranteed to be fresh!
 
It is economical to make a trip with a group. The cost of a fishing trip lasting one day or night is EUR 100 for one person but only
EUR 50 for additional members. Accordingly the cost for a group of four persons would only be EUR 250 for a day or night.  
 
We arrange also whale and dolphin watching trips. Spotting a school of dolphins often means that there is a school of yellowfin tuna nearby – a large catch guaranteed without hurting the dolphins.
